Biography

Jack Johnsen was befriended by the club in a close season tour of Denmark and along with Jorgen Neilsen had been guests of the club since early December 1947.

The two Danes appearances in the reserves attracted good attendances to Dens, with the stylish striker making his debut at Tynecastle in January 1948, Indeed, he capped an impressive display by scoring the only goal of the game. He was to make one more appearance exactly five years later when he spent the latter half of season 1952-53 at Dens Park, but this time he couldn't work the Midas touch with Dundee going down 3-2 at home to Raith Rovers.
