Biography

A £15,000 signing during the middle of season 68-69 from Fulham, it was hoped the former Clyde striker would beef up the attack. This he did, managing to score two in his first two games for the club.

Unfortunately he only managed to score another four goals that season.

In total, he appeared sixty-three times for Dundee, mustering sixteen goals.

Unfortunately for Gilroy he was signed at the same time as Gordon Wallace and Jocky Scott and was released in 1971 and pursued his footballing career in South Africa.
