Biography
George Mackie played for Dundee for only one season and that was in 1975-76, the inaugural Premier season.
Has part of the successful reserve team at Dens at that time, but only managed a total of sixteen appearances for the club. His last appearance for the Dundee was against Hibs on the 14th April 1976 and he was given a free transfer at the end of that season.
The Edinburgh-born midfielder went on to play for Partick Thistle, Albion Rovers, Brechin and Arbroath.
He was at one time on Dundee United's coaching staff and went onto be a youth coach with Coventry City after being recruited by Gordon Strachan.
