Biography

Fletcher joined the club in the 1979 season but stayed part-time. This was due to him being a P.E. teacher and partly accounted for him being unable to make his break through whilst the team where in the Premier League, only managing 12 games, scoring once.

The following season in the First Division, he managed fewer and it came as no surprise when he moved on to Montrose for £5000. In his time at the club he played a total of 37 games, scoring five times.
