Biography

Born in South Africa on 22 August 1961, the full-back joined Dundee from Polbeath United in 1977.

Although he was at dens for four years, he only figured in twenty first team games, though never from the bench,

His debut was at Tynecastle in the First Division, which ended 2-2 and attracted almost 20,000!

All bar two of his appearances came in 1979-80 when Donald Mackay's team were relegated.

He partnered either Les Barr or Erich Schaedler in the early part of the season, but never played again after the League Cup defeat by Hamilton after Dundee's 1-0 win at Dens wasn't enough to overhaul Accies first leg advantage.

He moved on to Easter Road and made 62 league appearances for the Hibees, scoring once and also has a season with Hamilton Accies.

He then returned to South Africa and played for Bush Bucks, but returned to this country and had spells as commercial manager with St Johnstone and Dundee United.
