Biography

Lex Richardson came to the club from St Mirren in the 1983-84 season in part exchange for Enc Sinclair.

Lex made the step up to the Saints from Arthurlie in 1976-77. His first appearance came against Celtic in a 6-2 defeat for the club. He scored his one and only goal against Hearts in a 2-1 victory in 1984-85. His last appearance for the club came against Morton, ironically the club he joined the following season.

After two seasons at Cappielow, he returned to the east coast and turned out for Arbroath from 1987 until 1990. He finished senior career with Albion Rovers for whom he played in 1990-91. Lex returned to the Junior ranks playing for Carnoustie Panmure whom he later managed.
