Timeline

  • Date of Birth

Max was born on this date in .

  • Signed For Dundee

A product of the Dundee Youth Academy, Max Anderson made his debut for the club as a second half substitute in the Scottish Challenge Cup against Elgin City in September 2019.

  • Dundee’s venture into the Tunnocks Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup ended abruptly at the first hurdle with a poor performance and a 2-1 defeat at home against Elgin City. Cammy Kerr put the Dee ahead with a spectacular first half opener, but a wretched two minute spell early in the second half settled the tie. Rabin Omar equalised then Shane Sutherland put Elgin ahead and Calum Ferrie was red carded for a challenge in the build up to the goal. The 10 man Dark Blues grafted away but couldn’t find the inspiration to save the game.

  • Dundee got their season back on track with a 2-1 win over Inverness Caley Thistle at the Kilmac Stadium. Max Anderson’s first senior goal gave the Dee an early lead and Jason Cummings added the second as the referee was about to blow the half time whistle. Nikolay Todorov pulled a goal back for Inverness in the second half but the Dark Blues held on for a deserved win.

  • Last Goal - Ayr Utd 0 - 3 Dundee

The Dark Blues put in their best away performance this season to earn a 3-0 win at Ayr’s Somerset Park. The first hour passed quietly, but after Max Anderson opened the scoring the Dee dispatched the Honest Men ruthlessly. Jonathan Afolabi added a second shortly after coming off the bench, and Paul McGowan put the cap on a perfect evening with a dee-lightful chip.

  • Last Appearance - Dundee 0 - 1 Raith Rovers

Dundee battled their way through to the Premiership play-off final after losing 1-0 to Raith Rovers at the Kilmac Stadium tonight, but winning 3-1 on aggregate. Lewis Vaughan scored the only goal midway through the first half. The Dee were made to fight till the very last minute of injury time by a Rovers team who were true to their promise that if they were to lose out they would go down fighting. Raith set a frantic pace throughout the match, attacking Dundee relentlessly with little thought of caution or keeping it tight at the back, but the Dark Blues defence managed to hold them out in an often chaotic second half and keep alive the hope of promotion.
