Biography

The tall striker was signed in 1974 from Hibs for a fee of £12,000, having previously played for Hearts and Dundee United.

Alan made his Dark Blue debut in a 6-0 defeat by Celtic. In his first season at the club he managed nineteen appearances, scoring six times. The following term he played another twenty-seven times, hitting another five goals.

Gordon would hang up his boots and retired at the end of the 1975-76 season to follow a career in Chartered Accounting.
