Biography
Netan Sansara was signed on a one month contract on the eve of our opening League fixture against Queen of the South in the 2010-11 season. Netan was a former team mate of another of our recent summer signings that year, Rhys Weston, where they played together at Walsall.
The former England Under 18 left back had only celebrated his 21st birthday four days before his eventful debut for Dundee. He was penalised for a foul on Paul Burns that resulted in Queen's penalty for which he was given a yellow that was quickly followed by another caution for an incident with the south enclosure linesman. As his sending off was for two yellow cards he was eligible for the next match at Stenhousemuir in the Alba Challenge Cup.
Like most of our players he didn't perform on the evening and Netan paid the price as he was notified that his contract was not going to be extended and would be allowed to return to England immediately.
Netan joins Nicky Banger, Fan Zhiyi, Ivano Bonetti, Colin West, and Darren Young as the list of post war players who have been sent off in their debuts for Dundee.
