Biography

Dundee signed inside forward Walter Bird from Bristol on a free transfer in July 1921.

In his first season, he started brightly for the Dee with 13 goals in 38 games but he failed to keep up the momentum and in the next two season, he was only able to a total of 24 matches, only scoring 3 goals.

He was transferred to Hearts at the stat of 1924. On his debut, ha managed to score a hat-trick as the Jambos swept aside Queens Park 5-2.

At the end of that season, Bird was on the move again, this time joining Kilmarnock after failing to agree new terms with the Edinburgh club.
