Biography

Spanish striker Arturo began his career at Bala Azul in the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system.

After scoring 15 goals in 19 appearances for third tier side La Roda in 2013/2014, Arturo signed for Spanish Segunda Division side Cordoba.

The striker netted just twice for Cordoba, as they were promoted to La Liga for the first time in 42 years. Deemed surplus to requirements as Cordoba prepared for top flight football, Arturo was loaned out to Alcorcon and then Llagostera, without making much of an impact.

In January 2016 Dundee took a chance on Arturo, bringing the Spanish striker in on loan until the end of the season. Arturo made his debut from the bench, replacing Rory Loy in a 2-2 draw with Motherwell on 30 January 2016.

Dundee were Arturo’s first club outside his native Spain, and he struggled to adapt to life in Tayside, making just 5 appearances for Dundee, all from the bench. After appearing in the Scottish Cup ties against Dumbarton in February 2016, Arturo had to wait until May for his next first team games, where he was subbed on in a draw against Kilmarnock and a defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Arturo returned to Spain when his loan to Dundee ended, and has since turned out for a number of clubs in the lower reaches of Spanish football.
