Biography
Defender Daniel Higgins progressed through the youth ranks at Celtic, before signing for Dundee in 2017.
Daniel made his debut for Dundee against Hearts at Tynecastle in April 2017, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 defeat.
Daniel kept his place for the visit of Hamilton to Dens the following week, but was unable to prevent the dark blues slipping to a 2-0 defeat.
This defeat left Dundee bottom of the table, and ultimately cost Paul Hartley his job. Daniel featured twice under Hartley’s successor, Neil McCann; appearing from the bench in the 3-2 victory over Motherwell, and 2-0 defeat to Inverness.
Daniel left Dundee at the end of the season and signed for Kilmarnock, and later spent time on loan to Airdrieonians and Stranraer.
The defender later moved permanently to Cove Rangers, and signed for East Fife in the summer of 2021.
