Biography

Born in France, midfielder Karl Madianga began his career in the youth academy at Le Mans, and was capped at U-17 level by France in 2011. Karl had spells in the colt teams of top French sides Le Mans and St Etienne between 2011 and 2016, before moving to Bulgaria to sign for Locomotiv GO, making 5 appearances.

The midfielder was signed by Neil McCann and arrived at Dens in May 2018. Karl featured prominently during the early stages of the season and scored in the 2-0 win against Hamilton at New Douglas Park in September 2018. Karl played only twice after Jim McIntyre replaced Neil McCann in the dugout, and departed the club on the last day of the January transfer window in 2019.

  • The Dark Blues were far too strong for League Two Stirling Albion in the Betfred Cup at Forthbank Stadium this afternoon and finished as comfortable 4-0 winners. The Binos gave the Dee some tricky moments in the first half, but Dundee deservedly led 1-0 at the break through Sofien Moussa’s goal. After Moussa added his second early in the second half Dundee were in complete control and added more goals from Jean Alassane Mendy and Craig Wighton.

  • First Goal - Peterhead 0 - 2 Dundee

    Second half goals from Kharl Madianga and Jean Alassane Mendy gave the Dark Blues a 2-0 win at Peterhead in group D of the Betfred Cup. Following a quiet first half Madianga put the Dee ahead four minutes after the restart. Mendy’s goal in injury time made the points safe for Dundee.
