Timeline

  • Date of Birth

Jason was born on this date in Edinburgh.

  • Signed For Dundee

  • Dundee’s unbeaten run came to an end in Kirkcaldy with a 3-1 defeat against Raith Rovers. The Dark Blues got off to a bright start, taking an early lead from Osman Sow, but that was the end of the good news. Kyle Benedictus equalised for Rovers midway through the first half. Cracking goals from Regham Tumilty and Kai Kennedy settled the match early in the second half and the Dee couldn’t find any way back.

  • Dundee went down 3-2 to Queen of the South at the Kilmac Stadium in a performance featuring too many defensive errors. Queens took the lead with an early penalty and added a second from an unfortunate Jack Hamilton own goal. Jason Cummings pulled a goal back early in the second half but Willie Gibson restored Queens’ two goal lead. Jordan Marshall provided some hope with a late goal, but the Dee couldn’t save the game.

  • Dundee clinched second spot in the Championship by beating Queen of the South 2-0 in Dumfries while Raith Rovers were beaten by Hearts. Jason Cummings provided both goals in the first half and the Dark Blues played out the second half professionally to secure the win they needed. Dundee supporters are fond of saying that the club always does things the hard way, but tonight the Dee got it spot on.

  • Last Appearance - Dundee 0 - 1 Raith Rovers

Dundee battled their way through to the Premiership play-off final after losing 1-0 to Raith Rovers at the Kilmac Stadium tonight, but winning 3-1 on aggregate. Lewis Vaughan scored the only goal midway through the first half. The Dee were made to fight till the very last minute of injury time by a Rovers team who were true to their promise that if they were to lose out they would go down fighting. Raith set a frantic pace throughout the match, attacking Dundee relentlessly with little thought of caution or keeping it tight at the back, but the Dark Blues defence managed to hold them out in an often chaotic second half and keep alive the hope of promotion.
