Timeline

  • Date of Birth

Charlie was born on this date in Fintry, Dundee, Scotland.

  • Signed For Dundee

  • Dundee beat Brora Rangers 2-0 in this afternoon’s Betfred Cup tie at Dudgeon Park, the Dark Blues’ first competitive match for seven months. Goals from Graham Dorrans and Danny Mullen in the first half hour gave the Dee victory. The Highland League champions were tough opponents who will be disappointed that they didn’t get on the scoresheet but Dundee’s extra quality allowed them to three hard fought points.

  • First Goal - Hearts 6 - 2 Dundee

Dundee’s Championship season got off to a bad start with a 6-2 defeat against Hearts at Tynecastle. The real damage was done in a disastrous first half. Hearts went into a two goal lead through Michael Smith and Josh Ginnelly. Charlie Adam pulled a goal back, but further Hearts goals before half time, from a Liam Boyce penalty and Stephen Kingsley, left the Dee with an impossible task. Dundee improved after the break and Danny Mullen came off the bench to notch the Dee’s second. However, that was the end of the Dee’s fightback and Hearts closed out the game easily, helping themselves to late goals from Kingsley again and Andy Halliday.

  • The Dee put in an excellent team performance at the Kilmac Stadium to beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in the first leg of the Premiership play-off final. Jordan McGhee and Charlie Adam scored at the start of each half and Dundee were the better team throughout the match. Killie’s goal came from Brandon Haunstrup, their only shot on target, quarter of an hour from the end. The spirited, skillful and combative Dark Blues had the edge all over the park and would have deserved to head west for the second leg on Monday with a bigger lead.

  • Last Appearance - Kilmarnock 1 - 2 Dundee

The Dee are back in the Premiership after beating Kilmarnock 2-1 in the second leg and 4-2 on aggregate in the play-off final! A marvellous, professional performance saw off Killie who were second best throughout the two games. Early goals tonight from Danny Mullen and Lee Ashcroft put the Dee firmly in charge and Killie never looked like shaking the Dee’s grip on the final. Kyle Lafferty pulled a goal back from the penalty spot midway through the second half, but Dundee saw the game out calmly and confidently to earn the place in the Premiership that the players, management and staff so richly deserved.
