Biography

Alex Jakubiak graduated from the Watford Youth Academy but in his 6 years with the club, he made just one appearance.

During his time at Watford, he was loaned out to Braintree Town, Oxford United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Fleetwood Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Falkirk, Bristol Rovers, Gillingham and St Mirren.

Following the end of his contract in the summer of 2020, Jakubiak penned a two-year deal with Dundee.

Injuries have hampered the strikers Dundee career so far. In 2020-21 he made only five appearances for the club due to an ankle and thigh injury. In 2021-22 he started off brightly but the strikers injuries again blighted his career at Dens.

In the last year of his contract at the start of season 2022-23, Jakubiak got his season off to a flyer with 4 goals from the opening 4 games, but yet again, injuries would hamper the striker just as he seemed to be finding his feet at the club.

After getting back to fitness and and being sparsely used by manager Gary Bowyer, the big striker would score his first ever League goal for the club after three season when he netted in a 3-0 victory at home to fellow promotion rivals, Queens Park.

Despite initially sparking up a partnership with Zak Robinson up top, it would be a few more games before the manager would opt to play both players up top and when he did, he was rewarded with Alex netting a further 5 times, including a goal in our Championship winning game on the last day of the season away to Queens Park.

Jakubiak would leave Dundee in the summer after his contract expired and would join Dunfermline a few months later.
