Biography

Michael Cunningham progressed through the Dundee youth system. The striker made his debut for the club against Peterhead in the 2019/2020 Betfred Cup, scoring a penalty in the shootout as Dundee secured a bonus point.

Michael made his league debut against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and also spent time on loan to Cumbernauld Colts.

The striker left Dundee at the end of the 2020/21 season after his contract expired.

  • The Dark Blues hung onto top spot in Betfred Cup group D by taking the bonus point from the penalty shoot out after a goalless draw against Peterhead at the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park. In a scrappy 90 minutes neither side did enough to trouble the goalkeepers, although Jack Hamilton rescued the Dee with a fine save when Ben Armour was clean through late in the match.
