Match Report

A spirited Brechin side were sunk by a late goal in yesterday's friendly at Glebe Park.

Steven Milne rose to head a Dariusz Adamczuk cross past Stuart Garden in 87 minutes.

Until that point, the game had looked like a draw as Brechin closed in the visitors.

Jocky Scott's clutch of summer signings showed their potential in the game. Willie Miller, Shaun McSkimming and Willie Falconer had scoring chances in the opening minutes.

Premier League newcomers Dundee were, however, technically superior. Some of their slick passing moves gave Brechin a great deal to worry about.

Hard-working Brechin did not give Dundee an inch, but, in terms of shots on goal, the visitors were streets ahead.

Brechin's Marcus Dailly made his return to Glebe Park after being out injured for a year.

Another young Brechin star, Jamie McKellar, created plenty of trouble for Dundee on the right.
