Manager's Programme Notes

Good afternoon and welcome back to the Kilmac Stadium for the cinch Premiership opener against St. Mirren.

I'd like to start by welcoming Jim and his backroom staff along to he match. I know some supporters have already been at games this season as restrictions start to life but I'm excited to see the majority of season ticket holders today.

We came through a tough Premier Sports Group with full points, albeit the Ross County game didn't take place. That was important as not only did it see us seeded for the next round it also means we are heading into the new league season full of confidence.

The last outing at Dens saw us take on Forfar and it was a pleasing performance. The two goals we conceded weren't so pleasing.

Max Anderson was outstanding. He ran 13km in that game. In that heat, it was unbelievable.

Paul McMullan took the knock on the Wednesday against Montrose then played 90 minutes on the Saturday. different class. Cillian looked excellent off the bench as well for not having much football. We could see what he is going to bring.

I was delighted. Delighted to get 12 points, that's the first time since I've been at the club we have managed that.

Now the cup is put to the side and we roll into today's match with two defeats in 17.

The real work is well underway for the league now with St Mirren coming here.

We are all looking forward to the campaign getting underway. The hard work from last season and over the summer has all led to this and can't wait to get started.
