Match Report

Newspaper extract from The Courier.

Dundee provided the opposition for Highland League star Davie Robertson's benefit match.

A crowd of just over a thousand were treated to highly entertaining 90 minutes as some of Jocky Scott's young stars battled out a draw with the "Broch".

Man of the moment Davie Robertson delighted the home fans by scoring two goals and there was also a happy return to Bellslea Park for ex-Fraser burgh player Brian Thomson, who netted the opener.

The Motherwell midfielder managed to shrug off a Billy Kirkwood challenge and rifle a left foot shot past Geddes.

In the 10th minute, however, Duncan got behind the Broch defence and lofted the ball over Clark's head for the equaliser.

Davie Robertson took a hand in things in the 36th minute. Sim played the ball square on the edge of the area and he sent a first time shot low past Geddes.

Dundee levelled matters again 11 minutes into the second half when Frail collected the ball 25 yards from goal and thundered a right foot shot into the net.

In the 67th minute Robertson took a pass from Duthie and fired in his second but Mennie headed Dundee's equaliser with just seven minutes left.

Fraserburgh Clark: Young, Sim Thomson (Keith), Duthie, Ellis (McCreadie), Gordon, Cormack (Catto), kobertson (Smith), B. Thomson (West),
