Manager's Programme Notes

It's another home match this afternoon in a rare occurrence as we play our fourth in a row at Dens.

Despite us not having you all here to back us, the home matches are so.important.

It's now over a year since we were beaten at home in the league and if we are successful this afternoon we'll reach that milestone in all competitions also.

That is something for the boys to be proud of and despite us missing a lot of football in that period there are only a handful of sides in Scotland who have done similar.

We came through our Scottish Cup tie last Saturday against Bonnyrigg and despite being a bit of a no-win situation for us but it was job done in the end.

We weren't at the level we have been at. Luckily we got away with it and we are in the hat for the next round. Credit to Bonnyrigg, they were excellent and made it really hard for us

When you have the players with the quality we do we always knew the chances would come but the ball was hitting the bar, goalie making great saves and you start to wonder whether it's just one of those nights.

Thankfully we made it in the end and will be looking to build on that and the seven matches we are currently unbeaten today

Ayr are a good side and they were the last team to beat us in the league so we know well have to be back at our levels we have shown to get the three points today.

Enjoy the match, wherever you are watching.
