Manager's Programme Notes

Good afternoon and welcome to today's match against Dunfermline Athletic.

It's our final meeting of the season against The Pars and I'd like to welcome Stevie and his backroom staff to Dens.

The meetings between the sides this season have certainly been eventful and with a win each and a draw we know it will be a tough match this afternoon.

We come into the match on a good run and on the back of a pleasing performance and result during the week against Ayr United.

The three points is obviously what matters but I was delighted with the performance. The level of consistency we have shown over the last six matches and the drive from the team to get the clean sheet has been great.I thought the result was a fair reflection of the game.

We put in a real team performance. That's the biggest thing for me, the team performing that well as a unit. Defensively was great obviously but going forward as well. We keep creating the chances and we have quality players in the forward areas.

The goal in injury time was a great moment as it secured the points and allowed us a little long to enjoy the win. Soon after though the attention turned to today's match.

It was three points, a clean sheet, it jumped us above Ayr but we need to put the foot down. We need to keep going and have that drive to keep improving.

I want to end my piece again this week talking about the supporters. I said the Alloa atmosphere was one of the best in recent times and that was multiplied on Tuesday evening. The backing the team got throughout the 90 plus minutes was fantastic and the roar when we clinched it with the second was a special moment.

We will be right up for it this alternoon to continue the run of form and I know all of you will be as well.
