George Shaw is ignoring all transfer talk to concentrate on scoring goals for Dundee.

The Dark Blues' hit-man grabbed the glory yesterday with a 56th minute strike - his sixth goal of the season.

But the man believed to be wanted by his old boss Jim Duffy at Hibs, said: "Transfer talk doesn't interest me. I'm here with Dundee until the end of May. I'm not going anywhere."

The little striker was more concerned about the fact he could have had a hat-trick.

Prior to scoring, he was out of luck in the 36th minute when he shot weakly past. Then, in 54 minutes, he saw defender Andy Paterson head clear as he was ready to pounce on a team- mate's cross.

"I suppose I had to score sometime," George went on, "I had a chance later on, too, but their goalkeeper did really well to come and block my shot.

The goal, when it did come, was the only highlight of a grim match. It began from a free kick which took Ian Anderson to the edge of the Stirling box and he set up Shaw with a terrific cross which the striker hooked into the net from ten yards.

Dundee boss John McCormick was pleased with the result but his opposite number Kevin Drinkell was far from happy with his players. He complained: "My biggest disappointment was that some of them didn't want the ball."

If he was frustrated imagine how the fans felt. The windy conditions made life difficult for the players but too often the ball was belted in the air when it would have been better to keep it on the ground.

In Ian Anderson, Dundee had the man of the match. Every time he was on the ball you could expect something different to happen and he was at the heart of most attacks.
