Manager's Programme Notes

There is no doubt that since the Coca-Cola Cup Final, the best we can say about our performances is that they have been inconsistent.

A combination of factors such as key players losing form, not to mention a dreadful category of injuries, has not helped our cause, but that doesn't mean that I am looking for excuses, because the fact of the matter is that we should have done better.

We simply haven't performed anywhere near as well as we did in the first half of the season and that has been as big a disappointment to me as I am sure it has been to all our supporters.

It has been all too often stated in the media that we do not have the finance available to go out and strengthen our squad, so we must look to the young players on the staff.

On that count we have four games to look forward to and I would ask all our supporters to give any of the younger players who get a run in the side between now and the end of the season every encouragement.

They'll play a big part in the club's future and your support will obviously help them and in turn be of enormous benefit to the club.
