Manager's Programme Notes

It was most important that we got a result at home against Hamilton and started off the New Year with three points on the board. This was achieved in a game in which we did not play particularly well but managed to get a result-the bad weather made it a very awkward game for both sets of players.

On the positive side Chic Charnley's introduction gave a lift to everyone, including the supporters and his contribution to the game was clear for everyone to see - admittedly still short of full fitness Chic showed that there can be no doubts about his ability. Another positive aspect of the game was Barry Smiths performance Barry was introduced into the team at a difficult time for the side but defensively he has played very well.

The Dariusz Adamczuk on-going saga has taken a further turn he is back training with us for a couple of weeks or so and it may well extend to a longer term if things work out. At last we have three players coming into the squad-a change from out-goings.

Tonight our visitors are our close neighbours United from down the road our derbies this season have been close run games with plenty goals and honours are even so far.

We are hoping for the same open type game with plenty good football and hope that we can edge a result.
