No league table has been added for this season.
Tuesday's result against Dumbarton may not have been what we wanted, but I am not going to be over critical of the players.
To be fair to them they tried to be patient and played a lot of good football. We missed a couple of good chances in the first half and on another day might well have won.
Whenever there was a chance for a shot or header, the ball was always half a yard away making it difficult to add to our score and that obviously leaves you open to a sucker punch which, unfortunately, is exactly what Dumbarton executed on us in the last few minutes.
Other than the result, I was reasonably happy with the way the team played. I made one or two changes to freshen up the side and in the end it proved to be just one of those nights.
Having been as frustrated as I am sure all of you were I watched a video of the game and accept that after having more than 90% of the game, we should have scored, but Dumbarton like a lot of teams who come here packed their defence and that perhaps explains why our results away from Dens Park have been so much better this season.
This afternoon, there are no fears on those grounds.
Dunfermline will come to play an open game. That is their style and a bigger crowd generating more atmosphere for this top of the table clash will I am sure help the players to respond better in what should be a classic encounter.
