Manager's Programme Notes
Saturdays game against Airdrie was very frustrating. We started very brightly and went on to create lots of scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them and kill off the game.
In the last half hour we fell out of the game and allowed Airdrie to take control and as a result we eventually lost an 89th minute goal which denied us the 3 points our earlier work-rate had warranted.
The positive aspect of the game was that we had a good first hour of the play but we must learn to kill of the game when we are in command. On the negative side we must concentrate for 90 minutes to get results.
Tonight we welcome Alec Totten's Kilmarnock to Dens. They have changed their style of play since Alec took over and credit must be given for their open, attractive football. Allied to the passion a Cup tie usually creates this should be a great game, which I feel we are capable of winning.
Hopefully the fans will get behind us and create a good cup-tie atmosphere.
