Manager's Programme Notes

Firstly, can I wish all Dundee supporters a very happy New Year and as we head into our first game of 1995, it is on the back of a highly satisfactory end fa to the old year.

A good victory over St Mirren last week maintained out recent excellent sequence of results and ensured that we entered the new year in a good position in the year int league.

The match against St Mirren was the perfect example of how a game lasts ninety minutes with the scoreline tight deep in to the game. We were not quite firing on all cylinders, but continued to play football and from the moment we got a second goal, we were able to relax.

As against Dunfermline and Raith earlier in the season, the players battled for the whole game which again brought its own reward. This all proves the benefit of not getting frustrated when things aren't going your way to both the players and the fans and I hope that you will continue to get behind the team until the final whistle.

Obviously, it is very nice to have finished the old year on such a high note, but still being there come the end of the season is very much the aim of everyone at Dens Park, so hopefully, we can carry our good form of late into the second half of the season and achieve our ambitions.

our first foots have themselves had two great results which has taken them off the bottom. They have a lot of players with experience of fighting off relegation and they will not make it easy for us this afternoon.

However, we must concentrate on our own performances, but firstly that entails matching their commitment and from there, hopefully, we can go on to record a third victory over the men from Stair Park this season.
