Manager's Programme Notes

The mid point of the season and we find ourselves clear league leaders going into 1995. With 3 out of the next 4 games being at home we have an excellent opportunity to establish ourselves at the top over this period.

Our win at Firhill against Hamilton on Boxing Day was particularly pleasing, we did well and it was obviously a good result for us on a day when results elsewhere went in our favour for a change. I was happy with the team performance as a whole but I thought Morten Wieghorst was outstanding and Jim Hamilton played well including getting the goal which mattered.

Again I must praise the travelling fans for their vocal support in attrocious conditions - thank you and keep up the good work! Today we have St Mirren as visitors who always prove to be a difficult side to play against despite the fact that we have taken full points in our two previous encounters this season we know that the effort and commitment we have shown in recent matches will be needed to win this one.

On behalf of all the players and backroom staff, I wish you a very Happy New Year.
