Manager's Programme Notes

A Happy New Year to all our supporters, and best wishes for 1994. Like all our fans, we welcome the New Year and hope it brings a change of fortunes for the club, starting with today's Derby with Aberdeen.

Despite our position, I still believe we're not as bad a team as the league table suggests. If you look at the rest of the teams in the league we're no worse than most of them.

There is a thin line between success and failure though, and the overall picture shows we have played well but been inconsistent.

Our home performances against Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen have been good, but inconsistency has cost us defeats instead of draws.

A lot of our football has been very good but we've not had good results.

Because of that we've tried to change it a little bit to tighten things up.

The New Year will bring a bit of freshness and anticipation and hopefully two or three good results for the team.

I'd like to thank the fans for their support in 1993, it's been a difficult year for you as well as us.

And regardless of what the supporters see in the newspa pers we still see a future for this club at Dens Park.

I hope to see all the fans continue their support for us in 1994.
