Manager's Programme Notes

RESOLUTIONS?

... A football club is a very complex affair, and contrary to what a lot of people think it is big business! At the head of any business has to be a person of strong commitment, ideals and determination.. We have a person like that here in our Chairman, Angus Cook.

... No person should be left in any doubt about his intentions for Dundee F.C. PLC. To see him pursue these intentions leaves all? of us breathless. He expects all on the playing side to have the same attitudes as himself and why not! We try very hard to live up to his dreams and we're nowhere there yet.

...The players have generally pleased us with their attitude and response. Slowly but surely they are beginning to believe in themselves and they should always remember highs of the season. Our three games against Aberdeen showed that we're not so far away. Our two victories over Celite must mean something to us.. The defeat of Hibs and the two draws with our only European hopefuls Hearts should stir the 'cockles of their hearts'. St. Mirren. last Tuesday didn't rate us but I don't suppose we will be considered serious until we are on fourth or fifth spot in the Premier.

... But we will try to improve our lot a little at a time. By the present playing staff to continue to develop higher standards. In the staff to always seek greater standards in everything at the Club.

...That is our aim, our only targets for Dundee F.C. PLC and with your dedicated support and the patience that you have shown... I thank you!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
