Manager's Programme Notes

"Hibs and Dundee yesterday proved that it doesn't need millions of pounds to make Scottish football buzz".

So says a top reporter in the Sunday papers. Also his verdict on the game was "Hibs and Dundee were sufficiently impressive to suggest they will be involved in the scramble for Europe next season".

Personally I thought the game was a credit to Scottish football but I have certainly found out that the Scottish Premier Division is one healthy place! Competition is of high value throughout and you certainly have to be consistent to forge ahead. Once we really start to believe in ourselves every week... and no finer chance than today with Hearts!

I have never been one to dwell in the past, anyway I think we can safely leave. that to the historians, critics and statisticians and even the fainthearted. One must always be looking forward and planning ahead.

But today is all about how we can beat Hearts. This could be a cracker of a game. Hearts are still in Europe and going strong - our only team left in Europe. This would be a great scalp to have and I feel the lads are more than ready for this one. This is the first of three games with opponents below us in the table and we have to do the business!

We have been trying hard again this week to add to the squad and I'm hoping that by the time you read this we may have succeeded.

Once again thanks for your vital support. It's so important to see you and hear you! Let's all get behind Dundee Foootball Club and I do mean everybody. who believes in Dundee F.C. Thanks for attending today's game.
