Manager's Programme Notes

Once again the Skol Cup is upon us, and I'm very sure that Falkirk, like ourselves, are looking for that victory to go into the next round with the 'Big Boys'. Might just be about time for us to become one of the so-called 'Big Guns'!

Having been in the same situation many times before personally, I just know how Falkirk are feeling at this moment of time. We must make sure that the good name of football succeeds tonight and that this is a game to be proud of!

Not having seen Falkirk play myself but going off reports from other fields we are certainly in for a stern test. We will have to be at our best in all departments to succeed. Falkirk, we bid you welcome to our Stadium, Dens Park, and we will certainly try to give you a good hearty Dundee welcome!

Special good wishes to George McGeachie from all the lads, Bert, Eric and myself. Have a speedy recovery and I only hope somebody is there to put the ball in the back of the net as early as George did in the previous round.

Thanks to all the fans who travelled to Motherwell on Saturday and gave us that vital support. Sorry we couldn't give you that win but I'm not so sure that we deserved it. Next time we will be thinking as well as running hard! But early days yet and I think we have had a very encouraging start. We have a lot of hard work ahead of us but with the right sort of commitment we might surprise a few people. But we can only do it with your support.

Enjoy supporting the 'Dark Blues', I certainly enjoy working for you all!!

We have a great club here!
