Manager's Programme Notes

First of all, let me on behalf of Dundee Football Club thank everyone who turned up to support the Jim Duffy game.

Your support and the support of all the Premier Teams who released their players made it a day Jim will always remember.

Last week we chalked up our biggest winning margin of the season at Falkirk.

It was a good performance against a team who are fighting for their lives in the relegation area and who make things difficult at Brockville with the height in their team and also the new width of the pitch but we overcame all this to win convincingly.

Today's opponents Hearts are having another good season and are obvious championship contenders. Already we have lost to them twice this season, something we will be out to amend today.

We have ourselves opened up a gap of five points over the team below us which we must always try to maintain.

However, we are also four points adrift of the team above us.

It is therefore important to get points from the teams above us, and today's game comes into that category.

Hope you enjoy today's game and from everyone at Dens Park, a Merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you on New Year's Day.
