Manager's Programme Notes

Once again, in the Scottish Cup, we had to endure the problems which teams from lower divisions pose to Premier teams, especially when the Premier team is at home.

All credit to Brechin City for stopping us playing at Dens.

However, I know it must be frustrating for you, when your team is unable to break the supporters, down the opposition defence.

The results from the Third Round ties still suggest that shock results are very much a possibility.

However, it is also evident by the replay results that the team from the lower division do not get a second chance.

Obviously we are delighted to be in the next round and look forward to the visit of Motherwell.

Today's visitors need no introduction, they have had a very good season and are sitting at the top of the league.

Recent games with Celtic at Dens have been good, entertaining affairs and today's game should be no exception.
