Manager's Programme Notes

Our last three results have gone well for us and the players are showing signs of playing more steadily. I feel the new players have settled in and are now playing with more confidence and this has helped the whole team. Last Saturday saw us give our best performance so far this season and although I will always be happy with 1-0 wins against the Old Firm we could have scored a few more goals.

Our attitude at Dens is to work on all aspects of the game and aim to improve. After our slow start to the season we have worked on the problems and although the results do not always show right away I feel in the last three games our approach has been much more steady. It is now up to us to do this over the course of the whole season.

It is early days yet especially when you look at all the changes that have taken place at the club since I took over but we now have more confidence. If we have a setback the players will not lose heart, they will keep on working until things start going right again. The players at Dens are here because they want to play for the Club and they have ambitions. They know that we must build for safety before we can go any further and progress has been made. There are still changes to come but it is our aim to convince you the supporters that we are heading in the right direction and to do this we must build up a good run.

We are looking forward to today's visit of Celtic as the players enjoy playing in these bigger matches. Celtic are always a difficult side to beat but the players know that each game is to be taken as it comes and they will not go out fearing Celtic. Each match is important for us as we attempt to build towards the future and the players will go out there and give their all.
