Manager's Programme Notes

Success in our battle for promotion is proving elusive.

Most of us hoped it would be all over by now and our last couple of games would be matches without pressure. It has not turned out that way.

Defeats against St. Johnstone at Perth and against Arbroath at Dens Park means success has still to be achieved. It also means we have lost three of our last four games.

Against St. Johnstone and Arbroath we lost early goals and were unable to come from behind. We can all understand what it means to have to recover from early setbacks.

With only two games left to play no further slip-ups are acceptable. A maximum effort is called for to earn success and take the club back to the Premier League. We all know exactly what we have to do. It is up to us.

Our supporters have been patient. They have given us every encouragement, particularly in our last few games, when things have not gone well after our long run of success. It is not our intention to let them down.
