No league table has been added for this season.
Our fourth away defeat of the season at Dumfries last Saturday was a big disappointment, but I think the game produced the best sustained 90 minutes play from. our lads this season and I was happy with everything except our trouble with the referee and the result. We had a player ordered off and four others booked.
I was happy with our build-up, which showed a great improvement, and the way the players went about their business. The will to win was there and the work rate was very high. That applies to all our players and it is something I have not always been happy with this season.
If I was asked to make a forecast I would say that provided we play as well as we did last Saturday in the rest of our league games this season we won't have any trouble in gaining promotion. I know we have been through a sticky spell, winning only three points in our last six games. Whether this spell has come to an end can't say; I certainly hope it has.
Remember, we are still at the top of the league and no matter what has happened in recent weeks, no one can take that away from us. We are still the team every one wants to beat, the team everyone has to beat. Our players have the ability to do well in the second half of the league programme and there is now a lot of confidence in the side.
What we need most is a really good result. We can get it this afternoon. Mind you, it won't be easy. Stirling were the first side to beat us this season in our away game and last week they had an away win over Ayr, one of our principal rivals for the leadership.
If we can put everything together today and have the full support of our fans I am confident we will do well.
